A Belated Start to my Trip

Ok My original idea was to write a blog so that I could keep people at home up to date with what I was doing, where I was and basically to save myself having to write individually to you about what I’d been doing and instead just have actual conversations with you all. As you can probably tell I’ve been away for 2 months now and I’ve yet to write a single thing.
Ooops
I’d like to say I’ve been too busy, which I suppose I have. To bring everyone up to speed here’s what my life has included for the past 2 months:

  • ·         Putting up tents

  • ·         Cleaning the outside of caravans

  • ·         Cleaning the inside of caravans (HATE that job)

  • ·         Attempting to learn some Dutch / Italian / Polish / Welsh / German (arranged in level of competence)
  •   Lots of Latte Macchiato (for free Wifi reasons)
  • ·         Discovered egg on pizza
  • Rescued a kitten

  • ·         Found an Italian ‘Portaloo’
  • ·         Pretended to be a gas fitter
  • ·         Stole a wine glass

  • ·         Got caught in the rain

  • ·         Changed light bulbs
  • ·         Moved Campsites

  • ·         Broke my stolen wine glass
  • ·         Craved Thai food

  • ·         Visited Lido di Jesolo
  • ·         Drank Vino Rosso
  • ·         Requested Mary J
  • ·         Visited Cortellazzo
  • ·         1st 2nd and 3rd Visit to Venice
  • ·         Craving Chinese food

  • ·         Rode the wrong bus
  • ·         Been on a water bus
  •           Bought silly Hats
  •
  •
  • ·         Visited Lido di Venezia
  • ·         Made new friends
  • ·         Craved Indian Food
  • ·         Accepted a job to stay out here longer
  • ·         Topped up my tan
  • ·         Saw a dog on a boat in Venice!

  • ·         Almost burnt down a tent
  • ·         Put a chicken on my head

  • ·         Moved Campsites

  • ·         Visited MacDonald’s far too much (Again free Wifi reasons)
  • ·         Discovered Spritz (some Italian drink)
  • ·         Visited Padova
  • ·         Saw a public hanging

  • ·         LOTS of cycling!

I think that’s about it....... for now

  2. It's like a 15km round trip for me to go out on a night out. And i've been told I cycle like a train, its amazing what encouragement a cold Spritz will give to a person.

The kitten, I'm hoping is still alive. I found a crazy Italian cat lady (dont you love it when stereotypes translate cultures) and she took it in. I tried to call in the week later to see how it was doing and drop off some food but she was not in :-( Now I've moved sites it's a little further to pedal, but i think i will call down again at some point. :-)
